I was once a captain in the Immortal Flames, just doing my duty against the Garlean Empire. We were sent into battle, and let me tell you, it was a bloody mess. My whole squad, including my best friend from Drybone, didn't make it out alive. I stood there, tears streaming down my face, looking at the lifeless bodies of friends and foes alike.
The worst part? My best friend got taken out by one of those Garlean officers. The rage that bubbled up inside me was intense. After cutting through a bunch of those soldiers, I charged at the officer, ready to take their head off. We won the battle, but the victory felt hollow.
Weeks later, when they promised gil to the families of the fallen, only a few got it. And, you guessed it, my best friend's family wasn't one of them. That's when it hit me – the rich folks don't give a damn about us. So, I packed my stuff, said goodbye to the Immortal Flames, and stole an airship. Figured I'd hit back where it hurt the most – their wallets.
I became the so-called "Garlean Slayer." I went after rich merchant airships and even took on the Garlean fleet. They say a few lucky souls lived to tell the tale of the wrath I brought upon them. But here's the thing, I'd been hating on the Garleans long before that incident. There's a backstory, a painful one that involves a lot of drinks to spill. I'm not ready to share that just yet.
Anyway, after three years of being this vigilante, I realized I was becoming what I hated. So, I put my blade to better use, ditched the thieving and killing, and started trying to make things right in my own way. The Garlean Slayer turned into someone seeking redemption, finding a purpose in a world messed up by war and inequality. It's been a crazy ride in the skies, but hey, that's my story.

Who is Alternate Hikari?
Alternate Hikari is another copy of Hikari created by Athena. Similar to her dwarf rabbit, Nubii but significantly more advanced. Athena subconsciously and uncontrollably switches to Alternate Hikari at random or whenever something has occured.Unlike the original Hikari body, Alternate Hikari is able to consume as much food as she pleases in trade for her ability to drink any liquids except for ale, confusing most who know her well.
